* Xena Blooper Reels

* About Ted Raimi

* Convention Coverage

Overheard recently at a convention in Toronto... Raimi mentioned that a "Xena" reunion -- of sorts -- is in the works. " [We're] hopefully getting ready to do a movie together, " he said, adding that though Lucy Lawless (Xena), Renee O'Connor (Gabrielle), and Bruce Campbell (Autolycus) would be there, it wouldn't be a "Xena" movie. 4

When he's not wearing the pasta strainer... " Enrique Iglesias was doing this video down here in LA at this mall, and the line was around the block with these kids -- they were all like 13, 14, 15. And there were hundreds and hundreds of them waiting to catch a glimpse of Enrique Iglesias, " he says. " And I was -- I have a bicycle, I'm like the only person in LA that ever rides a bike -- I was pedaling up this hill, and five or six kids stopped me, and they went, ' Hey, it's Joxer! ' and a bunch of them turned around. And three or four of them started singing the Joxer song, and I thought, ' Wow, man ! They know Enrique Iglesias songs, they know the Joxer song ! ' I felt like a rock star. " 1

The Auckland Theatre Company was trying to keep a tight lid on the details of its 2002 season that was launched at the Civic's Wintergarden Theatre in New Zealand. 2/16/02

Lucy guest starred as a genetically enhanced soldier in the upcoming X-files season. (2 episodes)

Executive producer Frank Spotnitz said the producers, including creator Chris Carter, are fans of "Xena" and, when they saw there was an opportunity to create a new character for the show, they thought of Lawless.

"it's a great 'X-File-ish' kind of character," Spotnitz added, "where you won't be sure whether she is good or bad for some time."

Lawless' character, Shannon McMahon could return -- although events in the Nov. 18 episode suggest otherwise. NEW - 2/16/02

Lucy : "I'm playing a character called Shannon McMahon -- Ed's daughter. She's very funny. We're taking 'The X-Files' in a whole new direction this season. We thought we'd liven it up, sex it up a bit, and she's come out of Doggett's past, she has history with Doggett, if you know what I mean (laughs) -- and she comes back to haunt him in the worst possible way. She also has information about the heritage of Scully's baby, and she's about to blow the world wide open. She's a loose canon. And you don't know if she's good or bad. Are you a good witch, or a bad witch?"

US Premiere of the X Files featuring Lucy Lawless was November 4th on FOX Network. The dates of the X-Files premiere have been changed so they don't conflict with the Emmys. The two-parter will now be shown on Nov 11 and Nov 18.

Lucy has a cameo in Sam Raimi's next flick "Spider-man"!

Lucy : "I went to New York for a fleeting thing, and Sam Raimi, who is Rob's partner, is shooting Spider-Man," says Lawless, referring to Rob Tapert, her husband and Xena executive producer. "So I ran up to St. Marks Place with some of the wardrobe women/stylists on the movie, and we bought all this punk rocker stuff. So I had studs in my nose, a short spiky wig and lots of earrings. I'm dragging on cigarettes. So I do this tiny little, blink-and-you-miss-it cameo, but it was such fun. It was all fun and no responsibility. It was fun to wear these clothes, these punk pants and a ripped stocking shirt and great big black boots. It looked like I'd stomped on a couple of hedgehogs. And I wore it all the way home, because I wanted Rob to see my new look." 2
